商品介紹
Red oolong is a newer Taiwanese specialty tea developed in 2008 by the Taitung branch of the Tea Research and Extension Station, originating in Luye, Taitung. Oxidized over 80% with a medium-heavy roast, it combines oolong craftsmanship with black-tea-style oxidation. The liquor is a bright, clear amber-orange, with caramel-honey notes and a ripe-fruit, sweet finish.
We've made this Taiwanese specialty into large 24g no-strain tea bags – a red oolong option rarely found among commercial tea bags. For drink shops wanting a menu that stands out, red oolong's caramel-honey character is delicious on its own and even richer with milk – a third path beyond black tea and oolong. It also works well pot-brewed at home or cold-brewed in a large jug; cold brewing brings out even more honeyed sweetness.

FAQ
Is red oolong a black tea or an oolong?
Oolong. It's built on oolong craftsmanship with heavy oxidation (over 80%) and a medium-heavy roast. Its color resembles black tea, but its finish and sweet aftertaste are true oolong.
Is red oolong good for cold brew?
Very. After 6–8 hours of cold brewing, the caramel-honey sweetness becomes more pronounced with almost no astringency – a step-up choice for summer cold brew.
Can red oolong be used for milk tea?
Yes, and it's a great fit. The heavily oxidized, roasted tea isn't overpowered by milk; its caramel notes and the creaminess enhance each other – an uncommon milk tea base for drink shop menus.
